CV/Bio

Suzanne Bennett grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. Her parents encouraged her childhood love of painting and drawing and she received a good early art education at the Hathaway Brown School and the Cleveland Institute of Art. She attended Rollins Collins and then Parsons School of Design, where she received a degree in graphic design.

She worked in the field of graphic design for 37 years, starting as a book designer in book publishing in New York City and moving on to her own graphic design studio in New Jersey. In 2000 she started a position working with the state of New Jersey as a designer for a government agency doing transportation planning.

She retired and moved with her husband to Fort Myers in 2010. She had actively revived her fine arts interests as a painter and pastelist with the Guild of Creative Art in Shrewsbury, NJ. staring in 2007. She is currently affiliated with the San-Cap Art league on Sanibel and occasionally teaches drawing at the Shell Point art studio.
